Back in 1975 Gilbert White and Eugene Haas co-authored a book titled "
Assessment of Research on Natural Hazards" (MIT Press) which became a classic of the field. In it, they describe three future disasters, in Miami, San Francisco and Boulder. I have scanned in their 6-page description of the "hypothetical 1975 Boulder flood." It is
