Seed Magazine I get to be the lone voice critical of the use of offsets as a means of reducing emissions in a give and take involving five perspectives. My bottom line?
So what should the role of offsets be in international and national climate policies? The answer is as small as possible. Offsetting schemes will delay decarbonization and thus should be limited as much as possible.
Head over to Seed and see if my arguments hold up against the other four experts. I don't see a way to comment there, so feel free to come back and comment here.
